Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the tacky paper which provides good copying quality even in an electrophotographic copier of liquid development system by coating the surface of the base paper for surfacing paper by the coating material containing water-soluble coating compound and hydrophobic resin latex coating compound.
CONSTITUTION: The tacky paper is formed by using surfacing paper 1 imparted with moderate smoothness, air permeability and receptivity of developer, providing a pressure-sensitive adhesive agent layer 2 on one surface thereof and combining this with release paper 3. At least one surface of the surfacing paper is coated with the coating material containing water-soluble coating compound and hydrophobic resin latex coating compound or hydrophobic resin emulsion coating compound and at least one of the base paper and coating material contains inorganic pigments or organic pigments. With this constitution, good copying quality may be obtained even in an electrophotographic copier of liquid development system and the tacky paper which does not cause problems owing to absorption of developing solution may be obtained.
