Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a travelling apparatus for a rice planter, wherein a pair of propelling wheels are supported freely vertically movably contrary to the body having a rice planting mechanism, and floats are arranged between the wheels and on both outer sides of the wheels under the body, so that the stabilization and straight travelling characteristic of the rice planting posture will be improved. CONSTITUTION:Wheels 4, 4 at both sides of the body having a rice planting mechanism 2 are supported by free ends of transmission and wheel supporting cases 10, 10 which are pivotably mounted to the body. The free ends are coactively joined with a hydraulic lock expansion mechanism 18 through link levers 16, 16 and link mechanisms to connect the supporting cases 10, 10 vertically movably contrary to the body. Between the wheels 4, 4 and on both outer sides of the wheels 4, 4 are arranged floats 5; 6, 6 so that forward portions of the floats can independently move vertically, e.g. with rear portions thereof serving as their fulcrums. Thus if pressure of ground contact of the wheels is changed the wheels will not slip but move to follow along a hard ground, and coact with the floats to prevent disordered rice planting posture due to listing of the body.
