Abstract

When the error is checked, the error display block forming circuit 16 forms and outputs the error display block, and it is modulated at the write data modulation circuit 17 and written in the magnetic tape. Further, after outputting the error display block, the write data control circuit 15 is constituted so that the same data block can again be outputted. Accordingly, the recording system of this magnetic tape can simplify the processing at error detection, the magnetic tape drive system is made in low cost, and the product cost can be reduced.
