Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect an absolute address of a constant PCM signal at all times, by constituting this device so as to detect a PCM frame synchronizing signal at the time of reproduction, and to read a time code signal which is reproduced and demodulated by a signal related to said signal. CONSTITUTION:A signal of a read and write memory circuit 13 which has absorbed jitter of a running system contained in a demodulated signal is inputted to a PCM frame synchronizing signal detecting circuit 18, and a PCM frame synchronizing signal is detected. A time code generating circuit 20 generates a time code signal by making this synchronizing signal a clock, and this code signal is modulated 21, amplified 22, and is recorded to a magnetic tape 10 through a head Hd3. Subsequently, the time code signal which has been reproduced by the head Hd3 is amplified 23, demodulated 24, and is inputted to a time code detecting circuit 25. The circuit 25 reads the time code signal which is demodulated by timing of the PCM frame synchronizing signal to be detected by the circuit 18.
