Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture the small sized magnetic head less in eddy current loss with economy, without precise press machining and correction, by winding a number of turns of the band material in coil which is split in a given track width, providing the magnetic gap and performing winding.
CONSTITUTION: The band material 9 is split in a desired track width T from the thin plate hoop 8 of magnetic material (Permalloy and Sendust), and the magnetic gap 11 is formed at the front end of the head core 10 after winding the desired number of turns of the windings 12 and performing heat treatment. This is molded to form the magnetic head 13. Further, after the said heat treatment, the head core 10 is split into two and winding 12 is made to each coil, then they are provided with the magnetic gap 11 and molding can be made.
