Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a title molding material obtained in high productivity and having stable high quality by a method wherein amino resin moding material and pigment are mixed by a mixer and finely divided by an air steam type grinding mill to make a colored master batch.
CONSTITUTION: After part of amino resin molding stock material and pigment, additives or the like are added in a blender and blended, the obtained mixture is finely divided by an air stream type grinding mill to obtain a colored master batch with good dispersability contimuously. Subsequently, thus master batch is added to the remaining amino resin molding stock material within a blender and mixed to prepare a product. By this method, the mixing time 8W10hr. by a conventional ball mill can be shortened to few seconds by using an air steam type grinding mill and moreover, because a screening process is cut, the productivity is enhanced. Besides, because extremely fine particles are obtained by an air stream type grinding mill, convertional particle size of 50W100μ is reduced to fewμW20μ and the pigment dispersibility is enhanced as well as a master batch with high color intensity can be prepared.
