Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the always stable state of drum surface irrespective of copying times by detecting the surface potentials of photosensitive sheet and increasing charging potential and bias potential thereby compensating the degradation of the photosensitive sheet. CONSTITUTION:A discharge control member 19 is connected to a detecting member 22 which detects the surface potential of a photoconductive sheet 2 and applies the output obtainable from the inversely proportinal relation with the decrease in the potential obtained from the degrees of degradation of the sheet surface to a corona discharge electrode 11. To the magnetic brush 14b of a developing device 14 is connected a bias control member 21 which controls the developing bias voltage to be appied at the developing. The control member 21 controls the applied condition of bias voltage depending upon the results of the detection from the detecting member 22. With this constitution, the degradation of the photosensitive sheet may be compensated and the always stable conditon of the drum surface obtained irrespective of copying times.
