Abstract
PURPOSE: To elongate the service life of electronic watch by employing silver oxide cell of 1V and by appying doubled voltage to a crystal oscillator for a prescribed period after the initial cell loading.
CONSTITUTION: When a cell is loaded, timers 2-5 start movements, and their outputs open and close gates 2-7, 2-8 for a prescribed period. Voltage of the 1V silver oxide cell 3 is doubled by the function of voltage doubler circuits 2-6 and starts and drives the crystal oscillators 2-1. After the elapse of a prescribed period, gates 2-7, 2-8 open and close, and the oscillators 2-1, which are in the state of stabilization, are driven by the voltage of 1V cell 3. Service life of the electronic watch is elongated by being driven by this 1V cell. Also, in case inverter which is different in scale-size is employed, the same result is obtained by switching gains.
