Abstract

CONSTITUTION: Fingers 12 and 13 extending radially and outwardly from a plurality of central circular plates 10 and 11 are provided in order to increase the number of characters without changing a diameter of the character wheel and making a width of the finger small, each of the fingers 12, 13 has more than one character portions 12A, 12B, 13A, 13B, and each of the fingers 12, 13 is curved in such a manner as these character portions are located in the same radial plane. In this case, when the printing is to be performed, an inclination of the character surfaces at inner and outer character portions is displaced by θ2-θ1 in advance in reference to the fact that a twisting angle of θ1 of the outer character portions 12A and 13A is smaller than a twisting angle of θ2 of the inner character portions 12B and 13B.
