Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit positively registered marks to be printed at a high speed on the linear element having even a large diameter, by moving a plurality of printing rolls displaced at a certain pitch so that they may round the circumference of the linear element.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of the printing rolls 1A, 1B each having a circumferential groove with a curvature radius slightly lager than a redius of the linear element W are opposed and immersed in ink tanks 3. At a position along an axis of the linear element W and spaced from the printing rolls 1A, 1B by integral times of a pitch P between ink transfer portions 18 on outer circumferences of the printing rolls 1A, 1B, are arranged a pair of opposed printing rolls 2A, 2B of the same kind as the printing rolls 1A, 1B so that they may make 90° angle with a plane where the rolls 1A, 1B are present, which rolls 2A, 2B are immersed in ink tanks 3.
