Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture the cold rolled steel strip having a superior appearance and surface property at low cost, by controlling the outlet temperature of direct fire furnace and air ratio and also, providing the skin-pass roller successively at the time of carrying out continuous annealing of the cold rolled steel strip in the direct fire heating type annealing furnace. CONSTITUTION:Vertical type furnaces composed of the preheating zone 5 unitilizing combustion waste gas, the direct heating type heating zone 6 provided with direct fire type burner, the indirect heating type reducing zone 7, the primary cooling zone 8, the overaging zone 9 and the secondary cooling zone 10, are used for the annealing furnace of cold rolled steel strip. Also, the skin-pass roller 12 is provided next to the exit side looper 11. Formation of oxidized film is depressed by making the air ratio low at the outlet of the direct fire furnace type heating zone 6 where the strip temperature is high and oxidation reaction is easy to proceed and combustion efficiency of gas is improved by making the air ratio high at the inlet of the direct fire furnace. Area of equipment is able to make small and cost of equipment is able to reduce because of vertical type furnace. Appearance and surface properties are improved using the skin-pass roller after finishing annealing treatment.
