Abstract

PURPOSE: An anti-inflammatory agent with low toxicity comprising a specific animobenzoic acid derivative as an active constituent.
CONSTITUTION: An anti-inflammatory agent comprising at least one of an aminobenzoic acid derivative, e.g. sodium salt of p-amonibenzoic acid-N-L-arabinoside, of the formula (R1 is residue of arabinose, xylose, glucose, galactose, rhamnose, or mannouse, as an active constituent. The compound has a carrageenan anasarca, granuloma depressant, antiexudative, or adjuvant arthritis depressant action, and low toxicity, and is safe without antibacterial activities, and the danger from tetratogenesis and allergic reactions.
