Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a so-called insoluble-matrix-type anti-fouling paint having excellent long-term anti-fouling properties and stability, and composed of a resin having a specific acid value as a vehicle component, and a specific triphenyltin compound and copper rhodanate as anti-fouling components.
CONSTITUTION: An anti-fouling paint composed of (A) a vehicle component comprising a resin having an acid value of ≤10 (pref. ≤5), such as an acrylic resin, and (B) anti-fouling components comprising (a) a triphenyltin compound of formula I [Y is OH, F, Cl, OCO-, CH3, OCO-CH2Cl, groups IIWVII (R1-3 are 8W11C alkyl)] and (b) copper rhodanate. The amount of the (b) component is pref. 1W 170pts.wt. based on 10 parts of the (a) component, and the amount of the (B) component is pref. 4W80wt% of the total weigth of the paint composition.
