Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the cost of a hot water heater by connecting in parallel heating and hot water heat exchangers and controlling a flow switch inserted with a solenoid two-way valve inserted into the pipe of the heating heat exchanger into a hot water pipe to thereby eliminate the solenoid three-way valve.
CONSTITUTION: When service water is supplied into a hot water pipe 8, a flow switch 9 is operated to apply a hot water start detection signal to a control circuit 10. A circulation pump 2 is operated by the output signal from the control circuit 10. Then, a solenoid two-way valve 7 is closed. Accordingly, hot water is circulated through a hot water heat exchanger 5, and thus supplied. When a fan motor 3 is, on the other hand, energized to apply a heater start detection signal to the control circuit 10 at no hot-water supplying time, the pump 2 is operated and the valve 7 is opened. Thus, the hot water is circulated through both the heating and hot water heat exchangers 4, 5 to thereby conduct heating. When both hot air and heating detection signals are simultaneously applied to the control circuit 10, the valve 7 is closed to flow hot water only to the heat exchanger 5 to thus preferentially supply the hot water.
