Abstract
PURPOSE: To relieve a load on a computer while automating analysis by using a mediate unit with a memory function and control function.
CONSTITUTION: According to write data from CPU, memories 1W5 of a mediate unit are stored with informations controlling the whole control over a mass sepectrometer such as informations for controlling channel numbers, subtraction of the application removal of an ion acceleration voltage and background, ion acceleration voltage, backgrounds, the number of channels and sampling rates stored in memory 1, etc. Corresponding to memory contents of those memories 1W5, the mass spectrometer composed of ion source I, mass dispersing magnet M, ion detector D, etc., is controlled and measurement data are held by fixed sample holding circuits H1... and transferred to CPU. Therefore, while mass analysis is automated, a load on a computer is reduced since the computer writes information and fetches measurement data to memories of the mediate unit so that the efficiency of utilization of the computer will improve.
