Abstract

PURPOSE: To equalize temperature distribution in an air duct, by providing a heat- transfer pipe with independent drain pipes and drain valves by groups thereby to permit control of liquid level in a heat-conducting pipe by groups of pipes independently.
CONSTITUTION: Heat-conducting tubes 2aW2c arranged in an air duct 1 are provided with respectively independent drain pipes 6aW6c and drain valves 8aW8c, and all the drain valves 8aW8c are independently controlled by means of output signals of cascade controllers 14aW14c and drain level controllers 13aW13c. By doing so, even if bottom sections of the groups of the heat-transfer tubes arranged in the lower stream side of the air duct 1 were to be immersed in the drain and lost heat-exchanging function, groups of the heat-transfer pipes on the upper stream side conduct heat-exchange in all areas covering the upper stream and lower stream sides to compensate temperature loss of air in the bottom section of the air duct 1, and therefore, temperature distribution in the air duct 1 can be achieved uniformly.
