Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to increase the cracking temperature and reduce the residence time and to suppress the increase in heating load, by recycling heating medium particles quenched together with the cracked gas after heat exchange with the exhaust gas.
CONSTITUTION: Heating medium particles in the fluidized bed 1 are fluidized by air from the inlet 7 to become an ignition source, which maintains combustion temperature of the fuel from the nozzle 8 at 800°C or above. The particles are sucked and brought into contact with liquid hydrocarbons and steam blown from the bottom of the lead pipe 2 to evaporate the hydrocarbons instantaneously. The hydrocarbons are cracked while being lifted, cooled in the cooling fluidized bed 9 to suppress the excessive cracking, and the high-pressur steam is recovered from the line 10 to take the cracked gas out of the outlet 12. The cooled medium particles obtain heat from the gas exhausted from the bed 1 and returned to the bed 1.
