Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare the title resin having improved water absorption properties at normal temperature in short time, by cross-linking a soluble polyhydroxyacrylate with a polyamine-polyamide-epichlorohydrin addition product.
CONSTITUTION: A soluble polyhydroxyacrylate shown by the formula (R is H, CH3, C2H5, C3H7, or C4H9; M is H or alkali metal belonging to I group of perodic table; n is 10W1500) is cross-linked with a polyamine-polyamide-epichlorohydrin addition product at normal temperature, obtained by reacting a basic low molecular weight polyamide derived from a 3W10C alphatic saturated dicarboxylic acid and polyalkylene polyamine with epichlorohydrin.
