Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the crosslinked type semipermeable membrane with alkali resistance and acid resistance, further, free from microbiological decomposition by substituting a part of hydroxyl groups of a specific polymer shown by the general formula with a sulfoalkyl ether group, a sulfoaryl ether group, a sulfoaralkyl ether group or specific salts thereof.
CONSTITUTION: The polymer material is shown by the specific general formula, wherein R, R' are a halogen atom, nitro group, methyl group or ethyl group, X is a divalent group such as methylene group, ethylene group, propylene group, isopropylene group, propylidene group, ether group or sulfide group,(l, m) are 0W4, P is 0 or 1, (n) is an integer of 100W1,000. The part of hydroxyl groups of said polymer is substituted with the sulfoalkyl ether group, the sulfoaryl ether group, the sulfoaralkyl group, sulfate group or an alkali metal salt or an ammonium salt thereof and a nitrogen containing basic org. compound and the resulting polymer is crosslinked with an amino resin, aldehydes, a trifunctional epoxy compound or a water soluble multivalent metal compound.
