PURPOSE:To acquire a flexible production system by a method wherein at the end of one lot processing of each NC machine tool the data for stage changing are put out from a central control computer and each machine tool itself performs stage changing. CONSTITUTION:When each of a plural number of NC machine tools 2b arranged according to a working process finished one lot work processing, the central control computer puts out the stage changing data for setting each machine tool to a condition for the next lot processing and each machine tool 2b performs stage changing for itself. And the control computer 1 puts out an operation schedule, NC processing data and handling data to the NC device attached to each machine tool through a group control interface 2 according to an output demand and at the same time puts out a working position instruction value to the control device 3a of robot 3b exclusive for each machine tool to perform operation.
