Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify detecting operation and shorten time of measurement, by introducing mortar which constitutes concrete, together with a pick-up container into a detecting container and performing back titration for the mortar to measure the cement content of the concrete.
CONSTITUTION: Picked-up concrete is supplied to a vibrating sieve so that a prescribed quantity of mortar is put into a prescribed pick-up container 2. The mortar is put together with the pick-up container 2 into a detecting container which contains a neutralizing titration reagent and an inorganic acid at prescribed concentrations and quantities. The mortar is vibrated so that the cement in the mortar is dissolved in the inorganic acid. A solution of alkali at a prescribed concentration is poured into the solution of the cement. The change in the color of the cement solution is detected to determine the cement content of the concrete.
