Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the cost of a governor valve with its constitution miniaturized by controlling the exhaustion of pressure oil in an oil passage provided to a rotary shaft by a ball valve which operates by centrifugal force.
CONSTITUTION: Governor valve 10, arranged at the left end of rotary shaft 1, is composed of the 1st and 2nd weights 3 and 4, spring 5, ball valve 6, pin 7, etc. At the rotary shaft turns, centrifugal force works to weights 3 and 4, apring 5 and valve 6 to give weight 4 counterclockwise rotational moment, pushing valve 6 against exhaust outlet 9. Pressure oil supplied through oil passage 8 presses valve 6 down to open exhaust outlet 9, so that oil pressure will be produced according to the centrifugal force. While shaft 1 is rotating at a low speed, valve 6 is depressed as much as the centrifugal force by weights 3 and 4 and spring 5. When the rotation speed increases, weight 4 is limited to less than a fixed value by stopper 15 in terms of rotation and weight 3 is also limited by outer circumference flange 4a, so that the centrifugal force of weight 4 and the load of the spring will work to valve 6.
