Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a device simple in constitution and stable in motion by increasing and decreasing the hydrostatic pressure in the part of outer periphery of a blade wheel in proportion to the square of the speed of revolution of the rotary blade wheel.
CONSTITUTION: In the condition of the normal operation, the quantity of water supply from a pipe 12 is equal to the quantity of water discharge from a discharge port 23 and an opening 36, and the quantity of the working water is fixed. When the speed ω of revolution of a rotary blade wheel 6 increases, the hydraulic pressure P increases in proportion to ω2 and the force pushing a valve 38 to the left in the figure through the intermediary of a valve rod 39 also increases in proportion to ω2, making the valve 38 run to the left against the water stream jetting because of the hydrostatic pressure PS so as to reduce the opening of a valve seat 37. By this, the quantity of water discharged from the opening 36 is decreased, while the quantity of water in a casing is increased, pushing the valve 38 open against the force proportional to the force ω2 which pushes the valve rod 39, and therefore the hydrostatic pressure PS increases in proportion to ω2. When the speed of revolution of an engine returns to an original level, the force making the valve rod 39 run to the left becomes weak and thereby the valve 38 is opened, and thus the hydrostatic pressure PS returns to an original value.
