Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the characteristics by distributing the 1st high magnetic resistance force thin film between the substrate and the ferromagnetic thin film featuring the magnetic resistance plus the 2nd high magnetic resistance force thin film near the side of the track width direction of the ferromagnetic thin film respectively.
CONSTITUTION: Nonmagnetic layer 6 is deposited on substrate 2, and then the high magnetic resistance force thin film is deposited in reaction onto layer 6 to secure the etching into the fixed form via the photo resist. For the high magnetic resistance force thin film, the area to be 1st high magnetic resistance force film 4 is covered with the etching enable conductor layer and by the etchant which has no etching, and the area to be 2nd high magnetic resistance force thin film 5 is exposed. Under these conditions, the annealing is given in the air. Thus the magnetic resistance force of film 5 can be made three times or more as high as that of film 4.
