CONSTITUTION: To perforate a card by the card punch with the printing mechanism, data 7 of the ASCI code which corresponds to the Hollerith card code is sent from computer 1 to ROM2, where data 7 is converted into data 8 of the Hollerith card code. When the Hollerith card code corresponds to the ASCII code, AND circuit 4 is made to generate an output of "0" and PUNCH signal 10 is outputted from AND circuit 5. In case of an illegal code, data 7 is converted by ROM2 into aLLI signal 9, which is outputted; and AND between signal 9 WRITE signal 11 is made to fail and the perforation is stopped without outputting PUNCH signal 11 while computer 1 is informed of that by state signal 13.
