Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a steel plate cell from a buckling or oval vibration which will be generated during a piling operation by a method wherein the steel plate cell is piled in the ground with the jig separated from the steel plate cell being kept hung within the steel plate cell.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of steel plates are fixed to an outer circumference of the jig 7 via some connection plates, the steel plates are welded together to form a cylindrical steel plate cell 1. Upper portion of the steel plate cell 1 is held by a hanger 11 and installed at a piling site with a crane 12. Then, the connection plates are cut to separate the jig 7 from the steel plate cell 1, the jig 7 is hung in the steel plate cell 1, and the steel plate cell is driven into the ground by the pile driver 14 while the jig 7 being hung in the steel plate cell 1.
