Abstract
PURPOSE: To decrease the dispersion of expansion ratio at each point on a rolled product of the foamed sheet and the like and shorten its curing period by a method wherein rugged portions formed on the surface of the foamed sheet made by extruding and molding a mixture of synthetic resin and foaming agent.
CONSTITUTION: When the mixture of a synthetic resin (ex.; polystylene etc.) and a foaming agent (ex.; freon-12 etc.) is heated and knead in an extruder, extruded in a sheet form and wound in a roll or cut in a specified dimension and stacked, treatments, for example, such as embossing etc. are carried out on the surface of the foamed sythetic resin sheet extruded from the die to form the rugged portions on the surface and to shorten the curing period.
EFFECT: When the rugged portions are formed on the surface, spaces appear though the sheet is rolled. Even in the central part of the roll, the secondary expansion ratio approximate to the external circumferential part (dotted line) of the roll is obtained in a short time when the treatment is carried out (▵ mark) comparing with when treatment is not carried out (× mark).
