Abstract
PURPOSE:To suppress a voltage drop when a high current flows, by a method wherein, in a simultaneous driving type thermal head, a radiating metal plate and/or a metal cap for circuit protection are used as a bus for current feed, to a heat resistand body. CONSTITUTION:A row 12, in which heating resistances 4 are arranged on a glaze layer 18, and a circuit part 13, in which an insulation layer 20 are formed, are formed on an insulation substrate 11. The circuit part 13 consists of a IC tip 22, into which each unit of several tens bits of shift registors 2 is built, and a IC tip 21, into which each unit of several drivind elements 3 is built, and is guarded from an outer environment by means of a metal cap 14. Besides, the cap 14 is electrically connected to a common film wiring 23 of a drivind element to function as a bus L2 for current feeding. Meanwhile, a metal plate 15 for radiation, whereon the substrate 11 is secured, is connected to a common wire 17 of the heat resistant 4 through press metal 16, and acts as a bus L1 for current feeding.
