CONSTITUTION:The discriminator 18 decides the binary data and not the reference value of 16 points, and thus considers other values as being superposed on by the noise. Then the discriminator 18 obtains the square sum of each axis for the output signal of the adder 11 to compare it with the radius value of a small circle, and obtains the degree of error only when the square sum exceeds the radius value to give a correction to the tap gain. The detector 19 delivers a normal state when it reset to the state of equalization after a certain time. Thus the discriminator 18 is selected.
