Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform efficiently operations in such a way that returning lines for returning pallets are respectively installed in parallel with storing-in and out lines in a warehouse, and load and pallet handling machines are separately installed on stacker cranes.
CONSTITUTION: Storing-in lines (A) and out lines (B) are provided on racks 1. Loaded pallet facilities 2 and returning pallet facilities 7 are installed in parallel on the storing-in lines (A), and the out lines B have the loaded pallet facilities 10 and the returning pallet facilities 12 connected by traversers 11, so that haulages are done with use of tracks on each parallel line. Forks 16, 17 are provided on stacker cranes 15 to perform cargo handlings, the cargo handlings can be done in parallel for the loaded pallets and empty pallets, and load movements in the racks also can be effectively done by the cranes.
