Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve circumferential or radial equibrium and to make a wheel lighter by a method wherein elastic textile having the form of a belt composed of thermoplastic resin impregnated organic and inorganic fiber or those composition is laminated.
CONSTITUTION: Elastic textile having a belt form is manufactured from organic fiber, inorganic fiber or those complexes such as carbon fiber, quebra fiber, glass fiber, etc. in which thermosetting resin such as epoxy resin etc. is impregnated. Then the said textile which is flexible in a longitudinal,a lateral direction are laminated, hated and molded under pressure. To give an example, a prepreg 1 is prepared by impregnating epoxy resin in tubes of carbon fiber texture 0.2mm thick and is wound around a molding die to make a laminated sheet 5mm thick.Then, in the same manner, a resin-impregnated quebra cloth coated tape 2 is wound, heated, pressed and molded together with an expternal frame and then a spoke hole 3 is machined to obtain a wheel.
