Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a composite substance of excellent shaping property and heat shock resistance, by mixing polyalkylene terephthalate with prescribed parts by weight of an epoxy compound and ferrite. CONSTITUTION:Terephthalic acid or its lower alkyl ester is prepared as an acid constituent and ethylene glycol or its lower fatty acid ester is also prepared to perform polymerization to produce a polymer (polyalkylene terephthalate). 100pts.wt. of the polymer are mixed with 0.5-10pts.wt. of a bisphenol A type epoxy compound and 100-1,000pts.wt. of a ferrite shown by a general formula MO.nFe2O3 where M denotes a divalent metal and n denotes preferably 6 for Pb, Ba and Sr but 1 for Fe, Ni, etc. The mixture is shaped, to give a ferrite-containing composite substance which is excellent in shaping property and resistance to heat shock and can be used at a high temperature.
