Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a bitumen emulsion for binding soil for insecticidal treatment which causing no elution of insecticide components, or preventing the effluence of soil, sand, etc. and thus to keep insecticidal and control action for a long period of time by mixing a bitumen emulsion with an emulsifiable oil type insecticide.
CONSTITUTION: To provide a bitumen emulsion (A), bitumen such as straight asphalt or coal tar is dispersed into water contg. an anionic, cationic, nonionic, or amphoteric surfactant, and a stabilizer such as alkali, acid, or salt. The bitumen emulsion (A) is mixed with an emulsifiable oil type insecticide (B) containing an emulsifier which is an organic solvent contg. high-concentration insecticide such as dieldrin and chlordane so as to provide a bitumen emulsion for binding soil for insecticidal and treatment. This emulsion is diluted with water according to requirements and is used by mixing with soil.
