CONSTITUTION:A film mede of amino acid copolymer contg. methionine and methionine sulfoxide or methioninesulfone residues substituted for at least part of the methionine residues is used as a substrate film, and one side or both sides of the film are treated with a hydrogen peroxide soln. to obtain soft contact lenses. The methionine content of the substrate film is 10-100, preferably 30-100mol%. The film is treated with the soln. adjusted to 1-30% concn. at 10-40 deg.C for 5-120min.
