Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture embossed plate enabling the availability of decorative board wherein sharp undulations are emphasized by providing thermosetting resin layer of optional gloss on base plate, forming print layer of thermosetting resin having different gloss and a preset pattern swollen up on the former layer and then curing the layers with heat.
CONSTITUTION: Ink or paint based on thermosetting resin is applied on basic plate 1, forming thermosetting resin layer of optional gloss 2. Next, on said layer, print layer 3 built up by the screen printing method is provided with ink based on thermosetting resin which is of different gloss from the afore-mentioned thermosetting resin layer 2. Then the print layer is thermally cured to form a convex, thus enabling the availability of embossed plate having convex-forming portion and concave-forming portion of varying gloss.
EFFECT: When decorative board having embossed surface is manufactured using said embossed plate, convex and concave patterns of excellent design and embossing emphasis due to gloss difference is available.
