PURPOSE:To ensure an assured monitor for the facsimile picture signals, by securing the synchronization between the transmission terminal and the monitor device after opening the switch and then between the transmission terminal and the reception terminal after closing the switch each. CONSTITUTION:When reception terminal 2 is queuing for the phase matching signal, i.e., when switch 6 cuts off circuit 3 from circuit 4, the phase matching signal is transmitted with the communication starting operation given from the transmission terminal. Thus monitor device 7 fetches the phase matching signal to set up the synchronization. At this moment, device 7 also gives an automatic driving to switch 6 to make circuits 3 and 4 contact. After this, the phase matching signals are sent to terminal 2 from circuit 3 through switch 6 and circuit 4 each in order to set up the synchronization between terminals 1 and 2. On the other hand, the signal sent from terminal 2 of main body 7 is monitored by circuit 9, and as a result device 7 can give the monitor to the communication state between terminals 1 and 2 with the synchronization being secured.
