Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled resin compsn. which can produce molded articles having excellent surface properties, toughness, chemical resistance and water resistance, containing a polyamide resin, a polypropylene resin and a copolymer of an olefin with an ethylenically unsaturated monomer contg. a metal carboxylate group.
CONSTITUTION: There is provided a polymer blend compsn. contg. a polyamide resin (A), a polypropylene resin (B) and a copolymer (C) of an olefin with an ethylenically unsaturated monomer contg. a metal carboxylate group in a weight ratio of A:B=60:40W95:5. The compsn. contains component C in an amount of 0.5W20wt% based on the combined amount of components A and B. When particularly glass fiber and/or an inorg. fine powder filler are /is blended in an amount of 10W100wt% based on the combined amount of componens A and B, equilibrium water absorption is lowered and further there can be obtd. an effect of remarkably enhancing flexural modulus and heat distortion temperature.
