Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the structure of an apparatus for controlling the temperature of exhaust gas supplied to a denitrifying means and other means, by providing inside a boiler a flue for supplying gas while controlling the temperature of exhaust gas.
CONSTITUTION: Exhaust gas produced by combustion is passed through economizer 2 and discharged to the outside of boiler 1 via flue 3 disposed at the outlet of boiler 1. In installing other means like a denitrifying means 4, the temperature of gas is too low if exhaust gas passed through economizer pipes 2a is supplied to the means 4. In order to overcome the above problem, the temperature of gas supplied to means 4 is raised by supplying a portion of gas at the inlet of economizer 2 and removing a plurality of groups of economizer tubes 2a. That is, economizer bypassing flue 5 is provided at the space formed by removing a portion of economizer tubes 2a, so that gas carried through the flue 5 is mixed with exhaust gas passed through economizer tubes 2a in flue 3 at the outlet of boiler 1. Further, for the purpose of controlling the quantity and temperature of exhaust gas to be supplied to other means like denitrifying means 4, there is provided a damper 6.
