Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the heat exchanging efficiency and to miniaturize the heating apparatus by a method wherein a plurality of heat transfer vent pipes passing through both side walls of the upper portion of a solid fuel burner and a slitted partition plate are provided.
CONSTITUTION: The solid fuel burner 1 for burning a solid fuel 3 has a fuel inlet port 4 and an air feed port 5. At the upper portion of the burner 1, there are provided a plurality of the heat transfer vent pipes 9 which pass through both side walls of the burner and above the pipes 9 there is provided a partition plate 11 having a plurality of slits 10. Further, at approximately the same level of the heat transfer pipes 9, there is provided a tubular damping water tank 13 which passes through and projects from, both side walls of the burner 1 and which has an opening 14 on the upper portion of each of the projecting ends thereof. In addition, a casing 15 which surrounds the burner 1 leaving a clearance 16 is provided with an air feed port 22 and an air exhaust port 23.
