Abstract
PURPOSE:To correct the sensitivity difference of a detecting element, by multiplying the reciprocal of the reference signal value from a reference light source, which is obtained from the detecting element, and the output signal for an object for every corresponding bits. CONSTITUTION:The optical image from the reference light source including image pickup object 12 and standard black materials 1a and 1b is received through chopper 2 by infrared-ray detector 3 using IR (infrared).CCD. A/D converter 4 converts the reference signal dependent upon black materials 1a and 1b and the signal of object 12 to digital signals respectively and applies them to adder and subtractor 5 which is set to the addition mode for the reference signal and is set to the subtraction mode for the object signal. Memory 6 stores the reference signal dependent upon black materials 1a and 1b individually, and memory 7 functions as the buffer of memory 6. Operation control circuit 9 substitutes the output of memory 7 with the reciprocal and inputs the result into memory 8. Multiplying circuit 10 multiplies the object signal of adder and subtractor 5 and the reference signal of memory 8 substituted with the reciprocal for every one bit, and outputs the signal, where the sensitivity difference of each element is corrected, to D/A converter 11.
