Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the rigidity of a lift arm of a cargo lifting device with respect to the lateral direction thereof, by arranging pivotal points on clevises projected from lower and upper portions of intermediate and end sections of each of hollow rectangular bodies constituting the lift arm.
CONSTITUTION: A cargo box lifting device for a dump truck consists of a lift arm 2 oscillatably fixed at a point A, and a tension link 6 pivotally connected at its one end to pivotal point B in the lift arm 2 and adapted to support at the other end thereof a cargo box 4, which are tilted by an operation of a cylinder 5. The lift arm 2 consists of right and left hollow rectangular bodies 7, 7 which are joined together with connecting members 8, 9 bridging over suitable portions thereof. Each of the rectangular bodies 7, 7 is provided, with respect to a side elevation thereof, with the first pivotal point A at one end section thereof, and the second and third pivotal points B, C in clevises 14, 18 projected from upper and lower portions of the other end section and an intermediate section thereof, respectively.
