Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a different kind of document from a sheet of document in accordance with selective recombination of information, by forming an electrostatic latent image on a photoreceptor with laminated 2 photoconductive layers different in dark decay rate, editing a desired image from this photoreceptor to form the edited latent image.
CONSTITUTION: At least 2 photoconductive layers different in dark decay performance are laminated on conductive substrate to form photoreceptor 10 with the low dark decay layer in a lower side. Photoreceptor 10 undergoes at least positive and negative charging each once to charge each photoconductive layer different in polarity, and exposed to a light image to form an electrostatic latent image. Transfer medium 15 is contacted with photoreceptor 10 with the formed image in accordance with image edition, part of the image is released to effect partial transfer of the static latent image, thus permitting a transferred and rearranged edition latent image to be obtained, and this image to be visualized with developing unit 16, and transferred to recording sheet S by roller transferring.
