Abstract

PURPOSE: To suppress the drop of water temperature on account of defrosting operation in an air conditioner with plural air heat source type heat pump units by controlling the units in heating operation so that more than half of them may not carry out defrosting operation at the same time.
CONSTITUTION: The electric control systems of plural air heat source type heat pump units 1aW1n which have a common water circulation system are connected to a concentrated control panel 2 via a junction panel 3. This concentrated control panel 2 is provided with a unit operating signal generator 4, pulse generating circuits 5, 9, 12, adding and subtracting counters 6, 10, a defrosting input signal transmitter 7, a buffer circuit 8, a comparing circuit 11, a unit controller 13, an output section 14 and a reset timer 15. And they are so constructed that the units may be made to enter defrosting operation from the unit which received the earliest defrosting operation command in succession, but those of later defrosting operation command may stand by continuing heating operation, so that more than half of the units in heating operation may not enter defrosting operation at the same time.
