Abstract

PURPOSE: To prolong the service life of an electric heater and to eliminate useless operation of a fan of an air conditioner, by employing such an arrangement that operation of the air conditioner is stopped after keeping on operation of the fan for a predetermined while from the time instant when the electric heater is turned OFF.
CONSTITUTION: Output signal of a circuit 5 for detecting the temperature of air at the inlet is afforded via an A/D converter 6 to a micro-computor 1 and data of a operation changing switch, operation starting and stopping switch, etc. are also afforded via a digital input circuit 7 to the micro-computor 1, which in turn carries out calculation according to a predetermined program. When it is detected by the computor 1 that an electric heater 3 is turned OFF, the computor operates to set a timer and start counting while keeping on operation of a fan 4. Here, if the instruction for heating operation is not given when the timer is counted up, the computor 1 gives an instruction for stopping operation of the fan 4. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to prevent deterioration in the service life of the electric fan 3 and to operate the fan at a high efficiency.
