Abstract
PURPOSE: To separate an SS component in a waste water of capsuled paint work economically in high separation efficiency by filtering and dehydrating flocculated substances generated by adding a pulplike fiber and a cathionic substance to a waste water of capsuled paint containing an anionic substance.
CONSTITUTION: To the waste water generated by the prepn. of capsuled paint contg. anionic substances such as gum arabic, carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) etc. used as a coaservating agent for gelatin used as a wall material of the capsule, or an anionic substance, which is separately added to the waste water, such as gum arabic, CMC. or polyacrylic acid, are added pulplike fibers or cationic substance which can cause an interaction with above described anionic substances, such as Fe2SO4, in appropriate amt. respectively. Suspended solid particle components (SS) in the waste water are thus flocculated, and dehydration by filtration is performed with high efficiency.
