Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high frequency output from a current type inverter by limiting the charging voltage of a commutation capacitor to DC power source voltage. CONSTITUTION:There are provided in a current type inverter a bridge circuit having diodes D1-D6 connected at AC terminals to inverter output terminal, a constant-voltage DC power soruce E1 provided between the output terminals of the bridge circuit, high and low voltage side thyristors S1, S2 provided in forward direction between the output terminal of the bridge circuit and the input terminal of main inverter circuit, and reactors l1, l2 provided in series with the thyristors S1, S2. The thyristors S1, S2 fire simultaneously upon firing of high and low voltage side main thyristors, and the DC power source E1 is set at the limited voltage value of the commutation capacitor.
