Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the magnetic recording substance excellent in the bondingness between the film and the magnetic substance layer, and consisting of the two axis orientated polyester film and magnetic substance layer in which polycarbonate is prepared and suspended by a given amount.
CONSTITUTION: The polycarbonate taking 4,4'-dihroxydiphenylene-2,2'-propancarbonate in repetitive unit as major component, average particle size about 0.1W5μ, preferably about 0.1W1μ is prepared and dispersed by about 0.5W7wt%, preferably about 1W5wt% at the two axis orientation polyester film manufacture. On the other hand, the magnetic substance layer is obtained by coating and drying the coating liquid obtained by mixing plastic and dispersing agent, as required in addition to the binder resin such as magnetic iron oxide, vinyl resin, cellulose resin and epoxy resin, on the polyester film so that the result after drying can be about 5μ in thickness, and thus, the said magnetic recording substance can be obtained.
