Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate grinding and also to enable a smooth turning with a load capacity increased, by a method wherein steel wires are caulked into grooves made in a circumferential direction of an outer and an inner ring, and a surface of the steel wire is ground in a concave R-shape.
CONSTITUTION: Steel wires 5EW5H are caulked into circumferential grooves 9EW 9H made in an outer ring 1 and upper and lower rings 2 and 3, and the steel wires, united with the outer ring 1 and the upper and lower rings 2 and 3 to form a completely monolithical object, are then grinding-finished in a concave R-shape. Working errors accumulated in the outer ring 1 and the upper and lower rings 2 and 3 in a first process are all corrected by the grinding-finish, and a section where a rotating object 4 and the steel wires 5EW5H make contact with each other is maintained within an extreme minor error range. Grinding of the steel wires 5EW5H can be completed in a short time because of the small volume thereof. Besides, a contact portion with the rotating object 4 is formed in the concave R-shape, and thereby a device can correspond to the increase in a load capacity and the movement of a contact point resulting from the somewhat deformation due to a load, which results in permitting the smooth rotation.
