Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled composition that contains an epoxy resin, an epoxyacrylate resin, a polyamide resin carrying alcoholic hydroxyls as the essential components, thus being rapidly curable even at low temperatures and giving coating films with high initial strength and water and corrosion resistances.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition comprises (A) an epoxy resin, preferably of 80W1,000 epoxy equivalent, (B) an epoxyacrylate resin obtained from reaction of an epoxy resin with acrylic acid, preferably one or all of epoxy groups in one molecule react with acrylic acid, (C) a polamide carrying alcoholic hydroxyls, preferably the equivalent of active hydrogens is 50W850 and the content of the alcoholic hydroxyls is more than 0.5wt%, as the essential components. Said composition is preferably stored in the form of two-pack or multipacke type wherein a composition containing components A and B is separated from another composition containing component C and they are combined when applied.
EFFECT: The composition is readily curable at temperatures as low as 0W-20°C.
