Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the operational processing and to enable the detection of center position, by respectively storing the output of the line sensor located at X, Y axes to the register to the object to be measured and processing the content of the register for operation.
CONSTITUTION: The photodetector trains 12, 13 of the line sensors 10, 11 for X, Y axes opposingly located to the object 1 to be measured are opposed to the object 1 in an angle of 90° as shown in figure. Further, the anglog signal picked up respectively toward horizontal and vertical direction from the X, Y-axis-line-sensors 10, 11 is digitized at the binary circuits 14, 15, which are temporarily stored in the registers 16, 17 having the bit arrangement of the number corresponding to the number of photodetectors of the photodetector trains 12, 13, and operational processing is made at the processor 18 to obtain the center position. Thus, the operational processing of the detection of center position is simplified to increase the processing speed.
